Breast Cancer Screen Clinic: The Annual Breast Cancer Screening Clinic will be held this year on September 15, 2004. As part of St. Elizabeth Health Service's commitment to the early detection of breast cancer, the annual clinic will be held on September 15, 2004, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Each year, the physicians volunteer their time to do the FREE breast examinations. If a mammogram is recommended, a screening is scheduled in the month of October at a reduced rate of $65. If additional views are required, there will be an additional fee. Check with your insurance carrier about coverage for mammograms. If you do not have insurance and you have limited resources, you may be eligible for assistance from one of the two funds established for breast cancer screening. These funds are the Billie Ruth Bootsma Memorial Fund and the Union County Breast and Cervical Cancer Center Fund. If you have further questions, please call (541-523-8102). |
