The 2006 Festival of Trees will raise funds to support plans for the Orthopedic Center of Excellence. The Orthopedic Center of Excellence will allow St. Elizabeth to better meet the needs of our community by providing orthopedic surgery and specialized care. The St. Elizabeth Health Care Foundation sponsors the Festival of Trees in partnership with Gentry Ford and Triple C Redi Mix. The sixth annual event will be held at the Baker City Armory. On Thursday, November 30, guests are invited to a "Preview Among the Trees". The event starts at 7:00 pm and ends at 10:00 pm. A silent auction on a select number of miniature trees and wreaths will take place and the Festival Shoppe will be open for business. The Blue Yesterdays will strike up the band, chocolate fountain will flow. Award winning beer from Barley Brown's Brew Pub and wine will be provided at a no-host bar. Tickets for Thursday night's event are $15.00 and are available at Betty's Books and Sycamore Tree. Tickets to Friday night's "A Night of Stars" are $75.00 per person and include tickets to "Preview Among the Trees". Would be bidders will be enticed by an elegant meal accompanied by Matt Cooper's Chamber Orchestra. The evening will be a formal affair and begins at 6:30 pm, December 1 and concludes with the live auction. There are only 250 seats available, so get your tickets now! The Armory opens its doors again Saturday morning, December 2, at 10:00 am for Family Day. Admission can be a can of food or an unwrapped children's gift for CASA. Teen age appropriate gifts are especially needed. Everyone is invited to view the trees and have their picture taken with Santa. Music will be performed by local music groups.
