Surgical Services The Surgical department at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Baker City is a multi-faceted area. It consists of a Day Surgery unit, Outpatient unit, two operating rooms, recovery room, Endoscopies area, and a central supply area. The Surgery department offers a range of services in General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Endoscopies, Gynecological, and occasionally Ears, Nose and Throat. Our outpatient area offers services in infusions, injections, wound care, diabetic teaching, transfusions and adjunctive treatments for chemotherapy. A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist provides our anesthesia. He provides a wide range of anesthesia options for each surgical procedure and performs epidural steroid injections on a regular basis. All of our nurses are ACLS certified. We provide a warm and relaxing environment for our patients and their families. |
